Canoe or Kayak course – 5 lessons
To learn how to use a canoe or Kayak. We will start at the Lake to understand in a simple explanation the paddle technics, to get confidence with the water. After we will go in the Adige river to improve to move in current and learn to use it in our favour.
The canoe provided by Xadventure are the fluvial type in polyethylene, to have a sicure and stabile experience and to learn progressively for beginners.
Minimum age: 16 years old (accompanied by an adult)
Minimum: 2 people
Period: from may to october
Excursion duration: 5 lessons, about 3 hours each.
The first lesson
will take place at Lake Garda, you will learn how to climb and descend from the kayak, to paddle correctly and to learn that the kayak can capsize. This will all help to become familiar with the water.The second lesson
will take place in the river but….without a canoe. Xadventure provides all equipment to organize a rescue day in the river, to learn self-rescue and the basics of safety in the river.
The third lesson
will take place in the river and allows the student to learn kayak management techniques thanks to the current, understand the strength of the water, read the current and exploit them. You will learn all technical maneuvers for conducting the kayak down the river.
The fourth lesson
takes place kayaking in the river, there will be exercises to be carried out like passing from one side of the stream to the other and the break-out and break-in tecniques.
The fifth and last lesson
we will travel 20 km down the river from Brentino to Pescantina, it will be a long and pleasant descent, where the students have the possibility to show and put in practice everything learned during the lessons, managing not just the maneuvres but also the safety.What to bring: trainers that will get wet or neoprene shoes, swimsuit, a technical t-shirt, shorts, water bottle, sun cream, sun hat, and sunglasses. A towel and dry clothing for after activity is recommended.

No, the Adige flows calmly but it is necessary to learn how the currents lead to the valley
Both for activities in the river and in the lake, you will always be followed and assisted by one of our Safety Kayak workers, people who have followed a specialization course and which are constantly updated to assist you in the worst conditions.
