Snowshoeing at night in the moonlight
Monte Baldo
An unforgettable experience just a short distance from Verona. Accompanied by our Alpine Guides, you will discover evocative places, which with the moonlight take on a magical atmosphere. For those who wish, at the end of the walk, it will be possible to have dinner together in a characteristic mountain refuge and taste the typical products of the territory.
- Ideal period: December-March
- Meeting point: parking at Novezzina, near to Chalet Novezza (Attention – Highway A22 exit Affi, direction Caprino-Spiazzi-Ferrara of Monte Baldo)
- Meeting time: 6.00pm
- Level: The tour is not particularly difficult, it is also suitable for people with the first experience with a minimum propensity for movement.
Route length: about 2.5 km.
A maximum height difference of 200 mt
- Excursion duration: about 2/3 hours including some pause moments
For those who wish, at the end of the walk, it will be possible to have dinner in a typical chalet.

Level: the excursion will be adapted to the capacity and physical preparation of the participants

Activity duration: Daily excursion (about 6 hours) that alternates moments of walking with breaks and explanations on the snow and the territory

Excursion duration: two days

SPECIAL SCHOOLS AND GROUPS OF CHILDREN
Discover Monte Baldo with snowshoes
A path dedicated to young people in primary and secondary schools that has a dual objective: to make young people experience useful for their growth, in contact with nature and to make the Veronese mountain known and appreciated.
The children will be followed exclusively by professional Alpine Guides, who will teach movement techniques, will appreciate the places where the walk takes place and will interact with the kids, providing important information on the environment and explaining how it has changed over time.
The activity is suitable for children / young people, to allow the excursion to run without particular risks.
- Location: Monte Baldo – west side (San Zeno – Prada) east side (Malga Ime -Novezza)
Period: December – April
Days and time: to be defined according to the needs of the school
Weather evaluation: In the event of bad weather the event will be postponed and redefined.
Maximum number for participants : up to 60 children
Price: € 16,00 per child, the fee includes rental of snowshoes and accident insurance. (in case of absence of snow, the excursion will still be done on foot and the fee will be reduced to € 12.00 per child)
- Materials and equipment: children must be provided with winter clothing suitable for the snow-covered mountain: recommended ski clothing, indispensable heavy gloves, sunglasses, and a warm hat. For footwear, we recommend a warm hiking boot. (A detailed list will be provided upon confirmation)
- Xadventure will provide each child with snowshoes and sticks. During the trip, there is a small snack provided by Xadventure (hot tea, biscuits). Please report any food intolerances if present. If the snow is completely absent, the excursion will be carried out on foot or alternatively, other destinations at a higher altitude can be agreed.
Important information
Necessary material: Winter clothing (ski suit or winter trekking suit), heavy gloves, wool cap, waterproof hiking boots, warm socks. Small backpack for storing the jacket if it gets warm while walking.
For multi-day trips: a complete change and the things you need for an overnight stay (travel sheet, necessary for personal hygiene).
